Landis, the Norwegian term for ‘land ice,’ showcases a series of works in which Hagar Schuringa brings together the various landscapes around the Norwegian Hardangerfjord. Within the series ‘Landis,’ Schuringa delved into the visible traces of history within the Hardangerfjord and examined how the area undergoes transformations, shifts, or echoes its past. Many of the pieces in this series were created during her residency at KH Messen, an artist-in-residence program located in the heart of the Hardanger area.
