Hagar Schuringa (1996) is an artist and writer. In her work, which usually consists of drawings, collages and installations, she translates the environment around her. She questions how we, as individuals relate to the ever-changing landscape. Meanwhile, she plays with the form and composition in which an image is situated. Her work can be seen as a continuous play of layering, deconstruction and fragmentation. Since 2021 Hagar also writes about art for NRC Handelsblad. This year she is participating in the Slow Writing Lab, hosted by the Dutch Foundation for Literature.
